Projects Overview
KazaX Minerals Inc. (KazaX), based in Astana, is an emerging mining corporation rapidly developing its first iron ore bearing property, the Lomonosovskoye deposit (the Deposit) in Kostanay, Kazakhstan.
The Lomonosovskoye property development (LOMO) is situated in the mining area of Rudny (translated as 'ORE'), established to support the extensive mining operations in the area.
An extensive historical drilling programme was undertaken at the Deposit during the soviet era between 1951 and 1984. The results of exploration outlined skarn iron ore mineralization in two deposit sites under 100m of overburden, located 1km apart.
A total of 232,079.69m in 646 drill holes have been drilled. This total consists of 206,768.43 m in 560 previously drilled holes and, completed by KazaX 2011-2014, a total of 25,311.26 m in 86 drill holes. The KazaX drilling program aimed at upgrading the mineral resources in the current pit area as well as confirming geotechnical and hydrogeological information collected in Soviet times.
Infrastructure risk is negated as the Deposit is in favourable proximity to existing road / rail transportation routes, leading to established sales markets, and sources of water, gas, and power supplies are situated within 20km of the property.
KazaX draws on the strength of its significant financial backing from private international investors from the Middle East, established relationships with the administrative body in Kazakhstan and the proven project development skill set and management capabilities of senior and executive management.
